Description The original Daunting Dollmaker picture is one of my most popular works, yet at the same time one of my first submissions in the site. There are many things I've learned since then in 3D modelling, especially in the lighting department, and thus I'm not entirely happy nowadays with my original work when I look back on it. Even as the form and concept itself I do like, as well as the model I used, I felt like the image could use a little update. What I've touched in the above is mainly the lighting only, though I have also tweaked some minor elements in the model itself all the while making sure the remained overall the same to the original. Anyhow, I hope you all enjoy, and please leave your comments on this update below!

VERY nice! It's now really clear that the doll maker herself is a bit less 'natural' in turn ( though I feel like the legs should carry some of that sheen as well, otherwise the question becomes why are they so 'flat' when next towards her right/Our left hand in the same lighting? )

Interesting. I had not taken notice of the lack of sheen in her legs though they are meant to be as reflective as the rest of her "skin". I reckon the reason is due to the spots' positions, predominantly above the character and not below. I'll look into it, maybe make a small update for it (I think dA allows image switcheroos without having to make a new submission?).

Alright, I raised the specularity on her legs a little so as to make the sheen more noticeable. It's a *very* subtle effect - I reckon I could do it more evident. But what are your thoughts now?

Ahh, that's perfect! Now it's got about as much gloss as her hand near the leg, and that's very fitting! Thanks for the fix~!
