Oh no it didn't take him too long to eat that rat, I guess in 20-25 minutes it was all done. I've got a smaller one too and he should eat mice as yours but one time I wasn't careful enough and put a bigger rat in when both where in their terrarium and not the big snake caught it but the small one. I thought she could never kill this really big rat, but she did. And she also managed to eat it, but this took really long...

Oh it took him about an hour to eat that rat, it was a really big one. My big python you see in this picture is about 1,10m, the other one I have (you can see her in "Hanging around") is about 70cm, but although she's (I still hope that it's a female) not that big she's the fiercer killer of'em...
