"Magic ring round and round, take me flying off the ground, to a place where we can find......"Ok, this is done completely from memory from a show I haven't seen for probably 25 years, so, I have absolutely no doubts whatsoever that details are wrong. This is (my version of) Matilda from the live-action kid's show "The Magic Ring". The show was produced in Calgary in the mid-80s. The premise was two kids and their robot maid would go on adventures using a magic ring to take them anywhere. It was shown on ACCESS Network Television.
Good luck Googling this, I've been trying to find information for several months and short of actually contacting someone involved with production I can't find any pictures or videos.

Wow! I got your note on tumblr just a little while ago, I had no idea I'd ever get a chance to meet with someone who was on the show!!
Tell me everything, it's nearly impossible to find any information online, no pictures or videos or anything. I've been able to dig up some fairly rare stuff in my day but it wasn't until earlier this year that I was reminded of the show and decided to do some for fun artwork. I found that I couldn't find anything out and had to run off memory mostly, and I mean, I was 8 or 9 at the time, so it's extremely fuzzy at best!
Was the show filmed in Calgary? It always looked familiar, and I recall they visited the Calgary Zoo in one episode (I live in Edmonton myself).

Heh! That is for sure! It's funny I can find information on just about every other show I watched when I was a kid except a couple like this, then the OCD kicks in and I have to find references but the only refs are in my brain... so I had to get creative with my doodle memory haha

It was pretty fun, I liked the idea that you could go anywhere you wanted with a magic ring
There used to be a lot of good shows on ACCESS after school, a lot of classic TVO shows as well as stuff made here in Alberta, a lot of really trippy stuff. Man I miss Canada in the 80s!
