Arrgh! I had a better version but Photoshop decided to crash right while I was trying to sign it! Talk about frustrating... it set me back by an hour.

Why thanks! This is an old fave of mine, so many different effects came together in this one
There's nothing more freeing than drawing a character in your own style I find.

That's why I always save after every few minutes of progress.

Trouble with that (at least for me) is once I have enough layers it takes a good two minutes to save and then when you get in "the zone" it's hard to stop that long

How many layers do you use..? It's rare that I ever use more than around 8.

As many as it takes, the other thing is that I work at a fairly high resolution (8 1/2" x 11" at 400 dpi). My PSD file is sometimes around 70 MBs or so. Things get unstable for me usually...
