A fan art of the awesome Maliwan elemental rifle
those things are awesome and they're a bit hard to find. Specially the kinds that looks like that.And I haven't seen a single fan 3d works of the weapons from Borderlands 2.

This really is a good model and also the first one I ever found of a Maliwan. I was looking around for models to rebuild or print but it seems borderlands weapons are hard to find... It would be really cool of you could upload the model files.

Oh yeah, I realized there weren't much of Borderlands 2 3d modeled weapons. Specially Maliwan. So I has worked on one.
That is possible, this model just needs more work in details. Probably give an upload with high poly and low poly. Blank or textured. x3 in .fbx and .obj

Thats cool to hear. I guess .obj is what most people search for since nearly all programs can work with that. I initially planned to make the Maliwan Volcano from Borderlands 1 but this one looks even better. Once I get to start on this project I'll post some pictures.

oh yeah, .obj is one the most useful exporting and importing file around 3d.
Hey cool! I've never seen the Volcano yet, |D or least I have and dun't remember. 
And it's not a specific nor randomly generated one. I just looked at the design and 3d modeled it in Maya.

This barrel and body combination looks like the "Railer" rifle, the Volcano is nearly the same but has a different barrel.

Ah yah, been wondering what the rail-guns looks like so this is one of them. xD
I should try making different barrels and butt-stocks of a Maliwan rifle.

would you be willing to share the 3d model file or convert it to a .STL format for 3d printing. I do Gunzerker cosplay and would love to use your model for a 3d printed weapon prop

As for the help you're asking, I don't think I can sense my Mac Pro has the correct software to do that. It'll take me a while to get Inventor back :C to convert what you want into .STL format.

oh sorry, the render is amazing and spot on for detail. I haven't seen anyone come close to making maliwan weapons look that good.
I can convert most 3d files into .STL if you'd be willing to share the 3d render file.
