Yeah, the two canine's faces don't mesh too well, but I think that could be fixed if you drew their mouths more closed. It looks like she's eating him instead of kissing him.
All you need is looks at humans either in real life or in photographs and the anatomy would be spot on. ;]

Well done! Every thing is beautifully made when it comes to the shading, and highlighting. Only thing I'm going to critique is the angle of the couch. It's a little too much overhead view because the bodies are more side-view/head-on(I'm making no sense...XD)
And don't worry yourself about the subject-first off it's your art and secondly and artist needs to have variety in their subject to truly expand. ^W^

well.. Ash is kinda on a side view because she is tilted by sitting on Rin's leg. but as you can see Rin is at a angle, where you can see the top of his chest.
