FINAL STRUGGLE — Description

Well, here it is.
It’s been a lovely four months since I’ve conceive and eventually acted out on this very spectacle you see in front of your eyes. Now, you may be asking a lot of questions. “Why the hell did you make all these pixels for so many people?” “What’s going on?” “What is this about?” I have some answers for that.
After my graduation, I’ve been considering a step in a new direction with my life and my art. As playful as I was back in the day, I eventually found directions to take. Paths to pursue. I’ve experienced good times, and many hardships.
But it’s not just my feelings of negativity that may have passed every now and then, costing me friendships or some other terrible event to unfold in my life. There are…other factors. You may have seen them manifest in one way or another on my blog, be it through posts, stream happenings or how this crazy world operates. There’s a lot of terrible thing on this earth, but we must also remember the good things. Family, friends, and a sense of love for one another…even in the most difficult or strenuous of circumstances.
I thought of paying tribute to those across the internet and around the world, be it on Pixiv, Deviant Art or Tumblr. Their characters represent a little bit of themselves, and seeing artists cooperate against a common enemy, manifesting as what plagues artists and brings forth the death of creativity, a target that we can all go against. Whether it’s the unpredictable actions of congress that may censor everything we hold dear, the inner feelings of anger, low self-esteem or envy that plague us, or obnoxious, close-minded people who have nothing better to do besides shoving a backwards agenda down our collective throats.
As for the 16 bit retro pixel thing, I view this online landscape as a video game of sorts. You progress with your art or whatever your trade is, and you progressively get stronger as you progress through every stage, taking on whatever challenges are in your path. And with my pixel arting skills being pretty good (I can’t say I’m the best), this was what I went for.
So with that said, please enjoy this wonderful groupshot. You may find your characters hiding in the crowd. If I didn’t include you, I sincerely apologize if I forgot. I was surprised that I made something with this many sprites, so many artists. But as long as you put your mind to whatever seemingly impossible task is in your way, you will eventually succeed.
