Foot Beating — Description
“Put him to the beam, beat him on his soles and leave him overnight to think about what he has done. I want to hear him screaming for an hour and I want to see him limping for three days”.
He is a house slave also used for sexual services, his master does not mind to impair his walking for a couple of days but he does not want his body scarred on visible areas. Subsequently, he has opted for an equally painful beating on his bare soles, along with a slower and longer form of punishment by leaving him in that uncomfortable position overnight, with particular stress for his arms, neck, legs and especially goin. Unable to sleep and kept in a state of constant suffering and recurrent cramps, I wonder how the boy will be found the following morning.
Witnessing the punishments also represents a good occasion to make an example of him for the other slave boys serving in the palace.
This is a spoiler of the stories, but I wanted to celebrate the new scanner in this way.

A couple of curiosities from Earth history:

Beating on the bare soles is historically recorded in many cultures and times, it is commonly known as 'falaka' (from Turkish) or 'bastinado' (from Spanish). It is very effective since the soles are particularly sensitive.

'Riding' a rigid beam for a long time without being able to discard the weight on the legs is more painful than I could immagine (Yes, I tried for few minutes).
A somehow similar form of torture is called 'uma' (horse) in Japanese.

P.S.: Perhaps I forgot a couple of additional ropes at his knees to prevent him from standing up from the beam, but I suppose that the attendant will take care of this after the beating. Also, perspective is not optimal.
