Well, in the original sentai, the Green Ranger actually died and the White Ranger was a little boy. It was only in the American Power Rangers that Tommy's popularity allowed him to be both Green and White Rangers.

Umm...the sentai was geared to kids too, because Japanese don't have as strict of standards as we in the west do. Ex: Lesbianism is clear in Sailor Moon, thanks to Neptune and Uranus (who were poorly disguised "cousins" in the Americanized dub).

And even then, some still think it in bad taste. (In truth, I favorite'd this because of the fact it has the Rangers, not because of the context and content. I generally abhore things like Robot Chicken, South Park, MadTV, SNL, and others that basically make it okay to rape our childhood memories when cynical, younger generations do that enough & Hollywood continues to shell out crap-on-a-stick and call em' remakes.)

Oop. Sorry. I was referring to Sailor Moon as an anime. The original sentai Rangers was basically people in the sentai outfits duking it out with toys that were made large through editing (ex: the "Zord" battles were essentially battles with toys, with stock footage thrown in for good measure). When the show became the Americanized Power Rangers, the only true American thing about it, up until the Disney purchase, was the American wrap-arounds (ex: the "Angle Grove" scenes & any scene where the Rangers have their helmets off for MMPR), because the actual Ranger & monster battles were just imported from Japan, as were the scenes with Zordon & Alpha 5.

i looked up some screenshots. in some her hair is indeed brown. in others it has a golden almost blonde sheen. i guess i remember the latter better. ergo shes blonde in this picie. ^__^
