Description
After hearing today that the next DLC fighter for Ultimate is going to be an ARMS character, I firmly believe it is going to be Spring Man since he is the mascot of ARMS. I can see it now, Spring Man will be the one character that kills two birds with one stone; the "No Assist Trophies" rule AND the "No Spirits" rule. After Spring Man, here are some other characters I can see getting into Smash:

1. Travis Touchdown (No More Heroes) - Travis was seemingly teased back in February 2019 by Sakurai and Suda, and he could be used to promote the upcoming game, "No More Heroes 3," on the Nintendo Switch.

2. Crash Bandicoot (Crash Bandicoot) - This one is kind of a gimme. Crash is an iconic gaming mascot (popular in both the West AND in Japan), has had a huge revival on the Nintendo Switch, and has been highly requested for Smash DLC.

3. Rex (Xenoblade Chronicles 2) - If we are getting an ARMS character, then I think it is highly likely that we are getting a Xenoblade 2 character as well, given that characters from both games were supposed to be on base roster. Rex seems to be the obvious pick, given that both Sakurai and fans have wanted him, and he would be unique as somewhat of a reverse Pokémon Trainer with Pyra and Mythra (and possibly a third Xenoblade 2 character) as interchangeable Blades.

4. Geno (Super Mario RPG) - Geno has been long wanted by both Sakurai and fans for YEARS, and his inclusion would complete the line of long wanted characters after Ridley, King K. Rool, and Banjo & Kazooie. There are already some potential hints at Geno's inclusion such as his missing Mii Costume and copyrighted music tracks from Super Mario RPG.

5. Urshifu (Pokémon Sword and Shield: Isle of Armor) - While Geno could be revealed as the last character for a grand finale to Smash, I can see Sakurai revealing a Gen Pokémon character as a final middle finger to all the ungrateful, complaining Smash fans who harassed him. The inclusion of a "Fire Emblem: Three Houses" character makes it seem likely that we will get a "Pokémon Sword and Shield" character. While it could be a fully evolved Gen 8 starter like Cinderace, Rillaboom, and Inteleon, I am feeling inclined to believe it will be Urshifu to promote DLC expansions for "Pokémon: Sword and Shield." It would really outrage fans if Urshifu K.O.'d the Waluigi Assist Trophy in his reveal trailer. I could totally see Sakurai doing something like that.
