Academic city from To Aru Majutsu no Index. Done for winter temporary fandom combat (seriously, WTF-combat, no jokes). But I hope this drawing is good enough even without fandom background*_*Related content

I've made a kind of perspective "guidelines" with ruler, buildings and detailing lineart is easier for me if I make it freely.
About your question... Well, your supposition is right; however, you have not only practice by drawing, but also watching other artist's works, studying exsisting architecture. This experience will add variety to your artworks) Good luck!
