Description
Just for fun, a screen shot of work in progress.Of caurse i do need refrences(a lot) to paint the APU, those two are my most commonly used screen capture image.
For brushes of choice for texture i used 'dry brush' and 'chalk', for smoothing and details i used 'airbrush'.
ok back to work on the background.

man thats cool. my version of photoshop doesnt let u keep the image on the side like that for reference anymore like it used to in previous versions. it hides it behind ur working document area. if u know a way around this for cs4, id love to know. this piece kicks ass and ican see why it took so long. if ud have used unsharp mask over the mechanical areas, that thing would look really 3d. great work!

youll notice that your open images are grouping in the same window?
if so you can actually click on any of the tabs and drag them out into the open individuallhy.
its just photoshop trying not to be so cumbersome, but failing at it lol

;_; its stuff like this that boggles my mind on how people can do such detailed work just from using PS. every time i try with the details, it usually never comes out that great or it ok. but yeah, i luv seeing this like this cause it makes me try harder <3

Oh not the thing on the pic is THAT important...what matters is the time, technique, details and many other stuff that make something special. For that I'd give a suggestion for a daily Deviation feature!

jeese.. how you reproduce the cg work used in the movie is amazing. You have such a great eye for accuracy and the sheer knowledge in photoshop. how you do this work.. i dont think i will ever know.
