I would still suggest upoading web-res versions to protect yourself from thieves.

"Web-res" is an image with common internet resolution, usually in the range of 640x480 to around 1024x768. Basically something big enough to display decently on the average computer screen, but too small for possible copyright violators to steal and use/sell prints, etc.


Here's an example of a photographer here who uploads web-res images: baronique.deviantart.com/ . The vast majority do this, but of course it's completely up to you. Watermarks are another option, but they interfere with the visual experience of viewers IMHO.
