I used ZBrush for the high poly sculpt, 3D Studio Max for the low poly model, and Photoshop for texturing.

I sculpted in most of it in the high poly model and then used a combination of photo textures and hand painting the rest.

You sure that the underarm- and handsling must not swapped ? And looks amazing.

Yep I'm sure, though I think I do see what you're talking about. The underarm looks a little too tight.

The sling with the red dots looks perfect to hold in a hand (its not possible to change the size for) and the other sling with the variable size is for the underarm. Now, if I hold the shild in my left, the center from the shild located in my hand? Think I must look in a book with medieval shilds

Oh I see what you mean. Yeah there are some shields that actually have the hand strap in the center on the back.
