Description Heh, I've been pretty scarce around here--gotta remedy that.

In the mean time, I threw together a sorta tutorial for GIMP users.
Uhh, it's not a very good one, as you already need some working knowledge on how the GIMP works and stuff.

What version of GIMP is this?

Β Oh! Hi! *has been away from dA for months...waves sheepishly*
Uh lessee here...I was using the "latest" at the time, (if I remember rightly) so I think that was 2.8.4. (Now I have 2.8.6--which claims to have fixed some bugs, so cool!)
I admit there are some elements I liked from the older version 2.6, but itΒ  must be said that 2.8 HAS made some decent changes for some of the tools and the effects therein. I don't like EVERYTHING about it, but I'd say it's mostly made steps in the RIGHT direction.

Seems pretty interesting despite being complex.

Aye, it seemed at first like using Paths in the GIMP was a little complex, but it's not bad once you get a little practice. (Although, I admit it was a lot easier for me since I know, for the most part, how the GIMP works and am already familiar with its interface.)

I'll say one thing for the latest version of the GIMP...it is a LOT easier to edit text/dialogue than in earlier versions.
