Outside Personality: A huge flirt, Calipso is extremely outgoing, charismatic and charming. He can sweet talk ponies and is known to be very friendly by many ponies outside of the kingdom as well as in. He is very laid back and carefree but has an air about him that makes him an extreme social butterfly. Calipso is captivating and gentle, yet seems to have an edge to him that keeps ponies interested in being around him and sharing in his merriment. He tends to stay behind the doors of his home if there is not a social event, and at times can be seen flying off to the mainland. he's rarely outside in Moonlight Territory.
Inside Personality: Sadistic and bruteish, he will never show anyone this side of him unless under severe stress or in a fight. He takes his vampireish nature to heart and will fight fang and hoof until he is the one on top. His temper is very short when he is like this and is incredibly paranoid and controlling, never letting anything go to chance. He will hold grudges for long periods of time and will usually refuse to forgive them. Calipso is extremely distrusting of new ponies, moonlights or not.

History:

Foal/Colt:] Calipso was the first child of Caligo and Gemini and the heir to the Galilean house, he was only five when his mother died after giving birth to LunarEclipse. Caligo tried his best to continue being a Knight to the kingdom, despite the loss affecting him very hard. By the age of 10 Calipso had already decided he wanted to follow his Father and become a Knight himself. He wasn't the best in his training, especially when it come to actually harming somepony. Calispo had always been a naive happy, if not troublemaking, young foal. His naive attitude did not help his father's declining mental state.

Adolescence: Being a bit of a late bloomer, Calipso took his first bite when he was 16. Being as carefree and calm as he always was he hadn't thought anything of it; unfortunately the pony he tried biting, overpowered him and was dragged off the unconcious Calipso to the pony's home, exposing Calispo to the sunlight the entire time he walked. The stallion found that Calipso was not a typical pony and became too curious about what he was to let him go so he chained Calipso up in his basement (a dungeon of sorts) and examined him for years, even going as far as to torture to understand him. Three years to be exact, and it was not kind to Calipso, the stallion tortured him to “see how he ticked”, exposed him to sunlight when he felt the 'test subject' was getting too strong in the dark, and over all just abused him, causing many injuries over the years. The exposure to sunlight left burns. Many of the old slashes are still visible from his time. including a cluster of slashes on his back, and one slash on his wing as well as a few other injuries on his hooves. The time there caused his carefree attitude to become one of disdain. He could not stand it any longer.

When Calipso was 19 he’d decided he'd had enough; due to his bursts of sunlight exposure he was able to surprise the stallion and managed to overpower him. Calipso escape the house but with all that he had gone through he no longer had a clear memory of the right way to the island, so he wandered around until he came upon an extravagant mansion in the middle of the forest, which happened to be having a very late night party. There he met Masquerade Phantasie, whom immediately thought of him as a Vampire pony. Seeing his condition she offered him help and ttreated his injuries, giving him better food and care than he'd had in long long time. Unfortunately she didn’t know where the island he mentioned was so she was not able to help him with returning home, but did offer shelter and good care for him. With his trust rather shallow it took a long while to convince him to stay. And after much, practically, bribing with food and shelter from the sun Calipso accepted. So Calipso spent the next two months with her, helping her with whatever she did and gained the title “Count” from this, as well as his cape he wears. With his strength recovered, his memory returned as well, and after two months he was able to remember the way home.

Adult:  After a farewell party left to set out to find the island. When he made it there and returned, he found his sister to be wed. Due to his father's horrible health, Caligo had arranged a marriage for his young daughter, Lunar, to secure her status. This was quickly canceled with Calipso's return. To save his father some sanity, and prevent any other blemishes on the name, Calipso became Head of the house and House Knight. Caligo's health rapidly declined the minute Calipso had been declared missing, but seemed truly happy in the end with his children returned home. He passed not long after Calipso had arrived back home. After the funeral Calipso spent a year exploring or rather reexploring the Nation and getting his memories back.
Now that his sister also left, Calipso has become much more of a party pony, happy to hold any kind of event and happy to invite others of noble or Gentry classes, should he choose.

Being around the villiage and kingdom again for a year he has familiarized himself with all the pones and was once more filled with the desire to be a knight. So now he lives to serve the Queen as a knight.

Extra:

Calipso has a black cape he wears at all times. It covers the scars on his back and wings, and he loves it too much to take it off.
His back and parts of his wings and ears have slight burns on them, from the sun, they used to be much worse but have been healing overtime.
He had his ears pierced when he was with Masquerade, he likes them and refuses to get rid of them, despite them not being normal materials for Moonlights.
His hair has been bleached from the exposure to sunlight, the ends were usually covered by his body when he would curl up and try not to be as sick or injured by the light. The hair may turn normal color some day but it is highly unlikely. He normally tells ponies that it's a gradient which was a recessive gene in his family.
That cluster of slashes on his back and wings never fully healed, even now, everything else however has fully healed and is untraceable on him.

He uses a type of natural perfume/fragrance, it's very pleasant smelling. He gained this from one of Masquerade's friends, whom had taken a liking to him after one of the parties.

He's not exactly looking for anypony right now. but does enjoy company.
