Oh, about 8 or 9 years now. Put it on hiatus for a while, and then a few months ago, me and my gf split up, and I started writing (well, spewing) all this stuff. Loving being back to it again, nothing like channelling your creativity. What about you?

Since I was about 14...I didn't let any of it out really my gf at the time used to put my writing down quite a lot. Some friends read some and told me I should start doing something with it, which is when I got into DA.
I read the old stuff now and half the time think wtf? but some of it's okay, and I've never stopped.
I believe you write what you feel when you feel, and it doesn't matter if you hate it later because it was a moment.
Still a classical beginners singing teacher, and a writer in my own rights, all good Same age as you I see...

I completely agree - I look back at some of my old stuff and think it's so cliche and doesn't make any sense...but a lot of it was just a stream of conciousness and made me feel better at the time. I'm really into theatre, and have tried to write for that too, but that's a very hard medium. I teach occasional creative writing workshops too, which is amazing when people open their hearts and souls to you. i have a lot of themes though, which tend to dominate my work: death, regret, the past, sex, hope, depression. What's it like in Bristol? Only been there a handful of times, but a great city! Very creative and cultural there!

Yeah it's cool man, Students everywhere these days lol.
Music scene is as big and varied as it's ever been and thankfully not all the old pubs have closed down.
They renovated a lot of the shopping areas in the Main part of the city around the same time Cabot Circus Opened...Huge, rediculously expensive shopping centre with rediculously expensive shops lol.
It's kind of clear I'm more of a market and pub type person than High Street and Clubs, Though I do drink in one of the overpriced Bars In Cabot simply because I know half the staff.
I think it's a pretty calm city.
What's London like? I've never explored always had somewhere to be. A couple of times to stay with Family, once to see my sister sing at Her Majesty's Theatre and Once to See Alice Cooper lol.
I don't believe in regret, though I believe in remorse, I'll be sorry about the effect but not for the original action.
Otherwise...Hope, Loss, Understanding, Acceptance (mostly of situations), Contentment Vs. Apathy, and Finding Something...those are my main themes.

London's awesome, if a little suffocating at times! But it really inspires me - I love the people, the buzz, the excitement, the culture. It's like anywhere, has its' faults, but I wouldn't be anywhere else. I'm like you though; more of a market and pubs person, don't really go clubbing. Always been in London, but feels as though you've got the world at your feet! Have you always been in Bristol?

Yeah man, Born and bred. Parents are West-country, moved to the city Before my older sister was born.
Though oddly enough half of my mum's family are actually from London and moved to the country lol.
Stayed in other cities, Liverpool, Portsmouth, Plymouth and Swindon (which is only a town)...Definitely feel like this is where I'm meant to be. lol.

Well, your a friend of mine of which i havent talked to in a while, for which i apologise, oh and dont worry i havent posted much nor do i expect anyone to watch.
Im doing fine, have had some good and bad times with mostly my relationships but its at a platue now.
Things are going well with work also, although I have not had as much time or disipline to do to much art as of late.
I think that'll let up though, but yeah how are you? good to hear back from you.
