OOOh! that really does sound cool, like a good atmosphere and all the rest. so the people are easy to talk? i havent really met anyone actually interested in film, or makes films, that i could have a convo with. oh the potential!
yeah the 3 years film & tv course is the one i will be applying for this year.
as for topdesigns i told them i cant make it because im like 400 kms away. so they said theyl manage. did you have to do your for topscreen? i dont really see what the point of it is, did they rip up the folios beyond recognition and tell everyone to come and fix it? strange.

Oh yeah, its awesome. Very easy to talk! I swear its the best when you can talk to someone about films and go into all the details without feeling like you are boring them to death or feeling like you have to move off the topic because they don't care. Fact is...they do care just as much and its just WOW.
But I think I need to see more alternate films because i'm really mainstream, working in a cinema and all...i see all the new films that come out. So one thing I've noticed is that I really need to see world films or just generally films that I wouldn't normally see in a typical mainstream cinema.
Well I hope you get in, I reckon you'd love it if film is your passion.
Haha yeah fair enough about your folio. Um... well what I had to do was transfer it into a big A3 folder and because my folio was A4, i literally had to glue 2 pages on the one and get rid of some pages because they were all about "minimising plastic pockets in folders" so less was better. So my folio doesn't look as good as it used to because it was formatted for A4 but oh well.
I also had to photocopy ALL of it later so it can go into ACMI as well.
It took 2 hours!!! And it was hot..... not enjoyable.

yeah i know what saying about mainstream, im much the same. but i am getting sick of it fast. im starting to see the cliches and its just becoming abit boring. the showcase films have a bit more depth about them, have you seen 'atonement'. so inspired!!
but then again dont feel you have to get all alternative, because i have seen many short films which are rather alternative, about deep and meaningful things, but they are just very strange and the storylines are very obscure. but thats just me, im into intense drama and shock and twisting stories.
oh that doesnt sound like fun at all, not really worth the trip. did you meet some other people that got in. i had a feeling it was also meant to be a means of socialising with other student or something along those lines.
my stuff is all A3 anyway, but plastic wasnt at minimal. haha oh well.

yeah I'm studying animation & interactive media at RMIT, just finished first year ! a lot of work but pretty happy with it so far. are you thinking of studying next year? all your work look very professional~ are you planning on uploading your short soon?
