Hi Clay,Β
This is Rob Lucas from way back at St Benedict. I have found a folder of your original artwork in my basement and thought I would see if you would like me to ship it to you. Send me an email when you have a chance: roblucasakron@yahoo.com. I hope you are doing well.
Take care,
Rob

Yo drclay... How about you post that superfly wedding invitation you illustrated???

Because I am proud of it and it will hurt my feelings when I post it and either no one looks at it, or a few people look at it and judge it not worth looking at...
I know you think it will do well, but I always think that before I post something.
I will post it. just give me some time first...

How do I buy it?
No one likes Ninja Raccoon.

I am working on some uninspired thing. You mean Chris Arbor (I don't know how to spell his name.)?

HE SHOULD! But he doesn't... at least not one that utilizes his mad skillz properly.

I don't believe you're really on meth.
Obama is as approachable as any super-rich, super-powerful member of the elite... which is to say, not approachable at all.
I don't draw the raccoon anymore... also: geology?
It's all the sugar meth heads consume that rots their teeth. (I'm not saying meth mouth isn't horrifically disgusting, it's just an interesting technicality to me.)

I'm not trying to "separate myself" from Ninja Raccoon, I just haven't drawn him in years.
You are the only person who has mentioned him... "everybody" couldn't care less about him. To be honest, the world already has Sly Cooper. That's good enough.

Sly Cooper is awesome: He gets a metacritic score of 86... that is super high. And, unlike Ninja Raccoon, he already exists; his videogame has already been made.

I am positive!
Ninja Raccoon IS cool.
Sly Cooper is also cool.
I know Ninja Raccoon isn't a rip-off of Sly Cooper, but would anyone else? Is it worth the effort to find out? Would anyone else read it? see it? even know it existed?
It kills me when I put something on dA and it only gets 8 hits (7 of which are just me checking to see if anyone looked.) I don't think I could take it if I took on the monumental task of producing a graphic novel just to end up getting the same (non-)reaction.
Really, though, I am just lazy. It takes a WHOLE lot of... I dunno'... carrot-on-a-stick action to motivate me. We can argue about it all we want, but it won't change that. I predict I won't make the comic the same way a scientist might predict some science thing might or might not happen: the part of me that talks and reasons has no control over the part of me that creates, it can only observe.

Hi Clay,
just wanted to say hey,
what have you been up to latelay?

drclay In reply to Viika [2011-02-25 21:08:51 +0000 UTC]
Viika!! It has been years!
I have been drawing things made of faces and hands.
Are you still creating stuff? You should post something!

Viika In reply to drclay [2011-04-14 15:14:37 +0000 UTC]
I do polymer clay (a lot) and wool and felt (both wet and dry) and I "paint" with acrylics. But my old medias I have not used for long times. Maybe it's time to start again.

That's what I did. I don't know how successful i am... But I am often told that one should never give up!
If you post new stuff, i will look at it (probably won't make comments much, but I will appreciate it.)
