What We Have Done (Steven Universe One Shot)Homeworld β 2000 years ago
In a dimly lit lab, a team of gem scientists bustled about the room, busy with their work. Β In the center of the room is a table with weapons and other artifacts salvaged from dozens of systems. Β Up near the ceiling, dozens of damaged gems float in bubbles. Β Every now and then one of the scientists will pull one down and inspect it. Β Others worked on fitting gems into the artifacts. Β Scraping and reshaping parts to mend the two together.
Everyone was deep in their work when a colossal pale gem entered the room. Β He was twice the size of any other gem and had to duck just to clear the doorway. Β He was followed by two smaller scouts carrying bubbles. Β The scientists stopped what they were doing and watched the scouts shove the artifacts off the center table and place the bubbles at the center. Β When the bubbles were deactivated, hundreds of gem shards spilled out onto the table.
