I DID. IT'S AMAZING.

I wouldn't write me off as altruistic just yet. I'm not a good person by society's standards.

I'm just frustrated with my apathy, my inability to let go of certain things, my helplessness, my inability to overcome the wall that disables my ability to overcome my inabilities--basically, I'm pissed off that I'm mentally resilient rather than mentally persevering.

That accident happened months ago. I forgot about it. It didn't scare me, but now I stiffen if the car drifts slightly. But I'm fine. Not even the truck was damaged.

If I wasn't forced to attend a college twenty miles away I'd ride my bike or walk/run wherever I needed to go. I hate driving. I'm only decent and my adequate reflexes aren't going to come in handy very often, so I don't see the point in honing my skills.

There's no use in trying to be nice to me. lol. I'm not deprecating myself, I'm just stating a fact. I'm nice to people, but I can't make any solid relationships. I can just walk away from them without caring. And when I do get attached to someone, I cling, so I hate that and tend to avoid people.

We need more people like you. But you have to stop allowing your thoughts to get the better of you. Life is not a gift from anyone; nor is it a right. It's there. Either you can use it, or let it use you. Right now, you're doing the latter--as am I.

But you have talent with writing, with photography, and with art, I'm sure. And you're still young. DO SOMETHING WITH IT. I was told I had talent and I let it spoil. I still have it, but it's nowhere near where it should be. I could be in some prestigious art college by now. Or maybe I could be a freelancer.

I know this is rather unrelated to what you said in reply to me, and I know your life is extremely tough, much tougher than mine. But you have all the resources you need.

As for driving, don't worry about the cars behind you. Assholes who don't respect the power of machinery will drive too close to you all the time. You'll get used to it.

I've only ever gotten excited about a birthday when I was younger, and when it entailed gifts. Once I outgrew the greedy phase I stopped caring.
