Squidward has major depression that needs to be treated immediately. Biological Factors Spongebob and Patrick Mr. Krabs Squidward should see a therapist. He should both have a one on one session with the therapist and also join a self-help group. Depression is caused by a low levels serotonin in the brain. Like many other depression patients, Squidward should take antidepressant drugs.
Squidward's depression is also serious enough to use electroconvulsive therapy or psychosurgery. However, we believe the best plan of treatment is for Squidward to move away but still see Spongebob at work.
Squidward is overstressed with Spongebob but he would think his life is monotone without him. Therefore the solution is to see Spongebob less. Spongebob and Patrick views Squidward as best friends however, Squidward is constantly and understandably emotionally and physically damaged. Both are oblivious to Squidward's unhappiness. Mr. Krabs is Squidwards greedy employer. He gives unreasonable requests and pay while he deals with Spongebob. Once Squidward moved away to Squidville.
