Description
AKA: Something these dweebs should be doing, in addition to teaching Arnaldo how to survive 21st century Pokemon land.Chance and Dusk are old friends who went on an adventure after a number of trips to the library and museum of their hometown and trying to learn the geography of Unova. They... Well. It was a haphazard adventure.
Arnaldo joined their group first after a freak accident in which Chance was tossing a fossil around and scared Dusk into falling into a machine which had a different fossil in it. Dusk did a button push and the machine fired up, resulting in a very confused Anorith showing up after an hour-long freak out session between the two (at the time, as late teens, a Duskull and Litwick).
Ginko caught wind of their shenanigans and plans to head out and thought it would be fun to tag along. It took a while for them to convince her that she could be part of the actual team instead of a creepy weirdo that was always there but not really there. She joined with suspicion and eventually gained common ground with Chance when they realized that picking fun of their team mates was fun.
Dusk will note that Ginko was one of his least favorable decisions, but he guessed she could stay regardless.
Wallace was met in a cave, as tends to happen with bats, and got invited to come with by Ginko who had at that time decided she was going to be the leader as she'd beaten Chance at an arm-wrestling competition that one time and yeah that's what leading is, right? Largely invited because Ginko had gotten the team thoroughly lost and she wasn't about to admit defeat. Arnaldo actually knew how to get out the entire time but he was still learning both speech and what hand signals meant meanings and what was just gesticulation.
Samuel popped into the team... at sometime around when Wallace joined. The two are practically inseparable, with Sam riding on Wally's shoulders and helping navigate. The kid is frighteningly good at reading people's moods and has a knack for geography, saving the team from any more of the ghost trio failing to know how to get from A to B.
