me = boredcreated to fill a gap in an otherwise dull day. not much else to say really. just practicing some skills.
Rendered in Poser, which although I love the simplcity of letting Poser take the strain with figure work, I *hate* that I can't make the figures look less like they're frickin' poser models
Worked up in Photoshop. I wanted to see just how much I could push my PS lighting work on this. The original render ( [link] ) was just a straight global lighting render. I then set about redoing all the lighting to match the blast from the firebolt whilst retaining some of the ambient lighting. Kinda works.... kinda...
makes for a nice scene whatever. Mmmmm charred Orge flesh. nice

wow, dont worry about making them look like poser models. This almost looks like a LotR typa graphics. i like it more of this way than to make it humanly realistic.

Good picture this. Even though you used Poser. I tried using Poser at one time but also got fed up with the generic looking characters. I now create my own, or rather am busy, but it takes a shit long time if you don't have 8 hours a day to sit and do it. But you wont be bored though
Anyway, I think this picture shows off more your PS skills than your render skills. It's bloody good it is.

excellent colouring, love all the detail you've added to the figures (i've still not seen Poser so they look fine to me 
all the lighting is sweet but wouldn't there be a shadow in front of the Ogre?.
It also looks like the ogre would block any light from hitting the Hero looking guy (is easier to see in untouch render) but it may just be the angle of the shot. looks great anyway, only noticed it becuase i was flick between images amazed at the amount you done in PS. Great work roll on more dull days

very nice render...looking at the global lighting and the final shows a HUGE amount of tweakage from what I can see...I need to get to the point where I can pass a dull day this way, I tell ya...good job...
Did you model the scenery by hand...because if you did, I'd LOVE some pointers on h ow to get that broken rock effct like you did...my rocks always come out too "ordered"
