Bio: I have always considered my primary contribution to Mystery Incorporated to be research, analysis, deductive reasoning, and the application of scientific principles to phenomena that are often assumed to be supernatural in origin. Due to an upbringing spent mostly reading, I possess an extensive knowledge of history, folklore, science, and criminal investigation, and I am usually responsible for identifying the inconsistencies that allow us to separate genuine evidence from deception. This is not to suggest that I am always right, however. In fact, acknowledging when I am wrong has been considerably more difficult than most would assume.

My fascination with mysteries began at an early age, although I suspect that the circumstances surrounding that interest are somewhat more complicated than I once realized. My father, who will go unnamed, left my family when I was six years old after beginning a relationship with a woman significantly younger than my mother, leaving the two of us to make ends meet on our own. When I approached middle school, my mother, Angie, moved us from Crystal Cove, California, to Coolsville, Ohio, where she opened a mystery themed bookstore/cafe. Surrounded by books about detectives, criminology, and unsolved phenomena, I quickly developed an appreciation for the likes of Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot. Perhaps it was inevitable that I would eventually begin to solve mysteries myself. I also developed an addiction to coffee with my desire to stay awake as long as I could and read more. This led to me developing Insomnia and I was barred from the bookstore's cafe and ever having any coffee related drinks until I was 18. I was angry at the time for this decision but since then, I have come to understand that it was the right choice.

For someone who has historically found it difficult to let people grow close to me, I have somehow accumulated four acquaintances whom I now consider family. Norville, being two years older than I, has occupied the position of an older brother figure for the large part of our friendship. Likewise, Daphne is my closest friend and confidant, and our relationship has developed into something resembling sisterhood. Fred has been a dependable friend and leader, and Scooby has long since ceased being simply a dog in my mind. I am often lacking in expressing just how much these peers mean to me, but fortunately, they seem to have deduced it themselves.

- I developed a deep fascination with mysteries during my childhood, largely due to my mother’s bookstore and the enormous number of detective novels I read while growing up. As I've stated before, my personal heroes have always included Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot, among others. I possess an extensive knowledge of criminology, history, folklore, science, and other subjects relevant to paranormal investigation. I have occasionally been accused of “overthinking” things. I maintain that there are worse qualities to have such as overtalking, overlooking, or overachieving.

- I have a tendency to be overly sarcastic, blunt, and sharp-tongued, particularly when confronted with what I consider irrational behavior. I also have considerable difficulty opening up to people I do not know well, which has occasionally resulted in others mistaking my reserve for hostility. I am aware that I can be difficult to deal with. I am also aware that I am considerably harder on myself than I am on anyone else. This is a flaw that I am working tirelessly to overcome.

- I am, despite all evidence to the contrary, a reasonably observant person. Unfortunately, this does not appear to extend to my own immediate surroundings, as I have an unfortunate tendency to trip over objects I have already noticed. This has resulted in the frequent loss of my glasses. I have yet to determine why this continues to happen, considering that I am fully aware of where my feet are.
- I remain deeply skeptical of claims involving supernatural phenomena and prefer to approach such occurrences through rational and scientific means whenever possible. This skepticism has served us well when dealing with hoaxes, fraudulent mediums, and people attempting to exploit superstition. Unfortunately, it has become increasingly difficult to maintain in the face of our experiences. I have encountered sufficient evidence to know that the supernatural is real. I simply wish I had an explanation for it. Should I start filings on these supernatural/paranormal events and beings for future study when better technology and tactics can prove suitable for clear data?

- I possess an extensive knowledge of music and musical history despite being almost completely tone-deaf and having little practical knowledge of musical instruments. I can identify obscure genres, artists, historical influences, and lyrical references with considerable accuracy, but apparently cannot sing a recognizable melody to save my life. My appreciation for the Hex Girls is therefore entirely academic. Any suggestion that I may have a personal interest in Thorn is completely irrelevant to this report. Furthermore, I see no reason whatsoever to discuss her here. On a side note, I wish that Daphne would stop drawing "shipping" art of myself and Thorn. Daphne claims that there's an extensive album of previously made art and though the ones she's made and shown me hasn't amounted to that much, I can't discount the possibility that she has secretly drawn more.
