Description
In the 22nd century, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare developed and introduced the "Cyborg Robot Nurse System" to improve the level of nursing care and to ensure uniformity in nursing levels. The "National Nursing Examination" that was held until the previous century does not exist today. All applicants can become nurses. The process is explained below.
　Aspiring nurses have their biological brains removed in the operating room. The brain is then mechanically processed and all of the information necessary for the nursing procedure is input directly into the brain. At this point, their brains are 90% mechanized. They are then placed in a nurse's cap along with their maintenance equipment. Their "individual" is the nurse's cap, and they are not treated as human beings at this point. Then, when they are connected to a nurse prosthesis made to the same standards (this is their "crowning ceremony"), they become cyborg robot nurses.
　All of their actions are controlled by input or by remote programming. Therefore, they will not perform wrong actions based on personal feelings. Thus, they are not "modified humans (cyborgs)," but "robots with a will," and are thus positioned as "cyborg robot nurses.
　This system has eliminated medical accidents caused by nurses' careless mistakes and abusive behavior by nurses toward patients.
　Today, new cyborg robot nurses are being manufactured and deployed to medical facilities around the world.
