Never thought I'd like this. Here's Cutie Honey in her latest incarnation, based on the recently (or not so recently) released OAV, Re: Cutie Honey. At first I thought the show was totally exploitative, and I still do, but its almost psychadelic style makes it stand out. And of course, I really like the jazzy bits of thereworked theme song by Koda Kumi (of Real Emotion fame). Retro, yet contemporary at the same time.Pencils and inks on paper, colours in Photoshop 5.5. I got her sword wrong, but all I had to go on was a relatively inconsistent anime and a 4-inch tall gashapon figure. Sorry!
