(Marvel VS Shin Megami Tensei)
-Ever since they were born, the supernatural circumstances present before their conception majorly altered the trajectory of their lives, leading to their adoption by a well-respected man (Craig Simpson and Boss) who's dangerous profession they'd eventually take up later in their lives (Stunt Motorcyclist and Hunter)

-After a slew of bad luck came and wrecked havoc on their lives (Johnny's adopted dad Crash getting cancer and Nanashi himself dying), they made a desperate deal with a demonic entity (Mephisto and Dagda), who tricked them into becoming their pawns, with said deal backfiring immensely, resulting in their dwindling humanity and the loss of their adoptive fathers.

-Both were forced to do their new demonic masters' dirty work. They've had supernatural roles thrust upon them ever since (Ghost Rider and Godslayer), where they find themselves thrust into a life of near-constant killing, prominently conflicting with numerous evil entities they're meant to confront and slay that troubled their worlds (Nanashi being tasked with killing all gods and demons by Dagda as his Godslayer, while Johnny, as a Ghost Rider, hunts down the wicked and evil to punish them for their crimes, often killing those deserving in a brutal fashion)

-Both are also empowered by demonic entities bonded to them in some way (Zarathos and Dagda).

-Both have fought and overcome several god-like or straight up gods before, and they've even defeated demons like Lucifer himself at one point, as well as Mephisto, who they've made deals with once before.

-Ghost Rider basically looks like an SMT Fiend and vice versa.
