Mini Marvels - Digitek — Description
When the Mys-Tech corporation recovered a mysterious alien technology called protosilicon, researcher Jonathan Bryant was assigned to study it. Using the protosilicon to create a revolutionary supercomputer called the Psi-Key, Bryant was close to fully unlocking the full secrets of the technology when the project was sabotaged by one of his rivals within the company. A squad of hitmen burst into the labs, gunning down the staff and preparing to install a virus that would give them control of the Psi-Key. To defend itself the computer saved the dying Bryant, rebuilding him as a being of pure energy using the protosilicon. Discovering his new powers as Digitek, Bryant defeated the mercenaries, who had undergone similar but corrupted transformations thanks to their virus, and decided to use his new life and powers for good.

He resurfaced in America only to be arrested as an unregistered superhuman during the super hero registration act civil war. Imprisoned with hundreds of other unregisted superhuman heroes and villains, Digitek was able to fake his death and later escape the country to return to England. There he was recruited into MI-13, the recently formed agency dedicated to defending the UK.
