Hey, I have a few questions.
-Is there any way to use the eyedropper tool to select the colors from a specific layer? (I want to have my pen-tool layers visible but still select the color from underneath them.)
-Is there any way to move specific points on a line witht he selection tool after you have un-selected it? (I can move them around while I am working with them, but once you work on something else I can't get it to work once I select something else and go back)

u can practically use a bright pink and form the outer lineart. dont fill any color in the lips area yet. and then shade the sides by multplying the colors.

also, in Illustrator, is there a function like there is in Photoshop that says "Subtract from layer" using the Pen Tool? All it says on mine is "Subtract Anchor point".

The reason I was wondering was because there's something like that in Photoshop's pen tool, that's how I created all the stuff in my gallery (not that impressive, I know).
Sure seems like Photoshop is more n00b friendly. Anyway, in the Illustrator pen tool is all about anchor points (at least in my version, Illustrator CS, does that change throughout each version?) Maybe I just need to see the tutorials that the thing has to offer to get a better grasp of the program. Considering the lack of experience I have with Illustrator, that would probably be a good idea ^^. Well, your tutorial was very helpful, and thanks for everything, you've inspired me to become a vector artist!
