Everyday when I walked that mile to school,
I would face nothing, but pain and ridicule.
I would just hide behind my books,
And try to ignore those dirty looks.
Until one day it really got bad,
Something happened that made me go mad.
The only friend I had ever known,
Invited me round to her home,
She sounded like there was something wrong,
Little did I know she would soon be gone.
When I arrived it was almost night,
I looked at her from left to right,
I saw her hanging from a rope,
For her now there was no hope.
I took a knife and cut her down
And on her dress a note was found:
Dig my grave, dig it deep,
Dig my grave from head to feet
On the top, place a dove
And remember this, I died for love
I stood there feeling all alone,
I couldn’t go back to school were my enemies roamed,
So I picked up the nearest chair,
I thought for I while, did I dare?
Then I stepped up and held my breath,
Preparing myself for a painful death.
I wrapped the rope around my throat
And looked back down at the words she wrote.
Then at last I slipped and fell,
Doomed to perish in the pits of hell…
