There’s a river flowing through my soul,
It’s current engulfing my life-long goal.
Inevitably this is the life for me,
Stuck in a world -a nobody.

Sitting in the cold, in a corner of my own,
I cry myself to sleep, feeling truly alone.
The rain pounds harder, as men scurry past,
Glancing quickly then looking away fast.

Thinking of the life I had, wishing I was there,
Surrounded by the people who once cared.
Now they act as if I’m long gone, dead,
And though I should be still at school, I’m on the streets instead.
