This painting just floors me with how cool it is! It's both sinister and sensuous, disturbing and so very beautiful. The Frazetta influence is a welcome sight. He's quite possibly my favorite artist (with Luis Royo just a heartbeat behind). And if this was inspired by a dream, then wow! Maybe we've shared one. I don't usually believe in things like that, but I wrote something very similar for one of my original characters. This could be a scene right out of her past. Even the smoke fits.

I highly recommend painting you dreams. I have some crrazzzzyy ones too! I could literally talk about dreams all day long

I think it is so weird that people claim to dream in black and white! My dreams are so incredibly vivid it is just like real life. It is weird though...I tend to either have really beautiful colorful dreams, or really horrific dark nightmares. There isnt too much of a grey area in there. I guess my mind just likes to jump from one extreme to the other?
And that is a great idea about the Dream illustrations group! I would totally join!

I know. I can't imagine dreaming in anything other than color. I thought everyone did. And I'm like you...either really wonderful, colorful, beautiful dreams or hellish nightmares. I sometimes have dreams about things that haven't happened yet. Lots of repeat dreams too. Aren't you glad though that you don't have dreams in the grey area? How boring would that be. I'll take the extremes any day

Honestly my fav COD was World at War. Just a really fantastic game. I got so into it that I cried at the end when I planted the Russian flag

haha ok, but I have to warn you. I play on the hardest difficulty, and certain songs I can do without even looking at the TV (way too many drunken nights of video games)

Quite a fabulous effect. A malevolent mix of old school matriarchal snake worship -- a style of sanctity long unseen blended with a hint of drunken debauchery. You get the distinct sense that the herpetological high priestess may be getting just a wee bit too stimulated with the particular spirit that moves her up there on the altar as she conducts her ritual. The way she has allowed the sacred chalice with its ominous contents to drop from her grip and dispense its creepy contents out of control on the steps leading to the sacramental sarcophagus reminds me of an aroused reveler who might have had one too many to drink and probably ought not be driving. i shudder to think what happens should that malevolent, slithering mist meet those murky waters.
