Shy, with a burning passion for dragon pokemon, aspires to be as good as her cousins.

Background:

Rhea was born and raised in Blackthorn City, also known as the Village of Dragons, with her cousins Lance and Clair, as well as with Iris, who was her friend until the latter moved to Unova. Rhea has witnessed how everyone she has grown up with has risen to fame, even Iris, although she is still very young. For this reason, Rhea developed an inferiority complex, feeling less capable than others, as they easily reached the top while she didn't dare to leave home.

This was until Clair, seeing her young cousin struggle with feelings that come from carrying a huge burden, decided to give her a piece of advice: take the Dragon Trial, a series of trials given to all trainers who aspire to be considered Dragon Masters. Rhea refused, saying that it would only waste her time and that she wasn't ready. However, Clair would not take no for an answer. The indomitable gym leader then decided to be more severe on Rhea: ''If you don't spread your wings, you will never fly with the dragons. It's not bad to be afraid of flying, but it's cowardly not to attempt to fly''. Having said this, she turned her back on Rhea and left for her gym.
Clair's words echoed in Rhea's head over and over for several hours, until Rhea finally decided that it was about time. The dragons were waiting for her and she would not waste any more of their time. Full of doubts, she approached the Dragon Shrine, where the elders were already waiting for her. Her first test would be to befriend a dragon.

Full of doubts, Rhea went alone into the cave, full of fierce dragon pokemon. She approached a Salamance that looked at her with contempt and made her run away in fear. She went after a Goodra that seemed friendly, but as she got closer, it turned out to be quite territorial, threatening to attack her if she went any further. Rhea felt desperate. Dragonites, Druddigons, Haxorus, no dragon seemed to accept the young girl. She felt defeated and was about to give up the trial. However, it was then that she heard sounds of combat.

She approached slowly and there she saw something very unusual. It was a Charmander, a Charmander fighting a Bagon. Apparently they were fighting for territory, which in itself was not unusual, but... what was that charmander doing in that place? A place completely hostile to non-dragon pokemon, yet there he was, fighting a dragon to win his place in the world. This opened Rhea's eyes. She couldn't be a spectator anymore, she couldn't let her fears get the best of her. It was then when Rhea headed towards both fighters, it seemed that they were never going to stop, but with a loud scream Rhea caught their attention. She told them that if they went with her they wouldn't have to fight for a home anymore, there would be enough room for both of them if they came along with her. They just had to rely on her.

Charmander and Bagon heard her and their hearts filled with hope. Somewhat reluctantly they accepted as they still didn't respect each other, however, the idea of having a home for two pokemon that until recently were giving everything to get one, was something captivating. The three of them went to the entrance of the Shrine, where Rhea told the elders that she had made friends with two very strong dragons. Seeing the pokemon that accompanied her, the eldest elder looked at Rhea and with a smile said: ''Young Rhea, you figured it all out. We have high expectations of you''. And with that, her first test was completed. At the exit of the cave Clair was waiting for her, who with open arms said: ''It was about time you opened your wings, little one'', inviting Rhea to embrace her. Rhea ran to her cousin's arms, and then introduced her two new friends, with whom she would train every day from then on, to reach her goal: To be a great dragon master.

Rhea has no last name intentonally, to imitate the fact Lance and Clair don't have last names either.

Her character theme comes from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It's a song where the singer calls out for help, she sings about how she wished she could stay forever in what is considered to be ''nice times'' but the reality of things is different. I'll later explain why I think that suits Rhea.

Her battle theme comes from Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright. It's probably my favorite song from that game and I just had to give it out to Rhea. The burning passion it yells, that's just Rhea.

Character Theme: The Edge of Dawn.
