Description
It's almost bonfire night in Britain, well officially it's on the fifth (the day after tomorrow) but they start it on Saturday (AKA tonight). For anyone who doesn't know it's a night where we set off fireworks to celebrate the failure of Guy Fawkes' plans. Rather ironic setting off mini explosions to celebrate the prevention of one big one... I think that may be the point but if not it is totally screwed up...So here's an Emoticon where the little white emoticon hurtles towards us the separates in a rather boring fashion.
I had a better idea involving a kind of fountain effect with trails of glittery stuff but I couldn't figure out how to do it and I really didn't want to make such a complicated animation.
Oh well, hope you like... P.s - it looks like a team of superheroes or something out of a certain film. I'll let you guess which one.
Please don't steal...
Yay! Thanks for all of the
s and the Daily Deviation!P.s. The film was the Matrix when Neo does that weird flight bit at the end. But sadly didn't explode..

All I can say about this amazing piece of work is: there aren't a lot of animations of emotes separating into multicolored copies of themselves, and counting this one, I've seen only two. Nice work, man! This definitely deserves a favorite from me!

XD Neo the exploding...what a mental image...
This is cool. It's like every grey-minded person's nightmare.
LOL it also reminds me of something the Doctor (of Doctor Who) said once: "It'll all go up in a great big unph of energy!"

That's rather a good point about a grey mind. The main emoticon seems like it's splitting up into each aspect of it's personality.
Doctor Who may be on to something there.. *Contemplates thought*

Just re-faving as sorting out my faves into collections

Technically it's not exploding. It's splitting up into the many fragments of it's personality...

Congrats on the DD, and excellent emoticon! I wish I knew how to animate them...

Thanks - I don't know why this emoticon is so popular but a DD is always a good thing
And to answer your wish it basically involves drawing a lot of slightly different images, saving them under different names (preferably 1,2,3,4 etc.) and then sticking them in an animation program. There are tutorials out there about making animated gifs.

That's really cool.
I recently wrote a very paradoxal bit about that ordeal, that's still has me quite confused.

The perfect emote to see on my birthday, which is also Guy Fawkes day XD
Very nice work with this, I really love the animation

Bah, you only have 50 comments thus far? So unfair! It's a lovely animation and makes me smile when I see it. I like the different expressions on each.
PS Which superheroes?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
No specific superheroes - it just looks like an attack formation: flying behind each other then splitting up..

Thanks.
And why do people keep saying that about my avatar?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
dont u know the mdkip internet joke?
"i herd u liek mudkips."
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Yes, I like Mudkip', I know the joke. They've taken over my avatar..
A wolf-shaped Mudkip isn't really that funny..
It's really just a way to link my two user names together..

We celebrate the same thing here in the Bahamas (since we were a British colony) only instead of a bonfire, people make scare-crow like dummies from old clothes, etc. and attach them to crosses or large stakes to burn. Quite a wicked concept but its fun.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Yeah, we used to be allowed to burn a Guy Fawkes dummy but I think it's against the law now. I guess people could disguise anything as Guy Fawkes and dispose of it (what a disturbing thought..).
P.s. Sorry about the late reply
