If you firmly believed that vultures are ugly, perhaps you'll change your mind at this picture. Zoo Lesna (Zlin) advertises "allowing visitors more immediate contact with the animals". It has a walk-through aviary with firmly set way of walking (specifically, the entry doors don't have handles from inside) and this guy was sitting in the middle of visitor bridge, offering probably even more immediate contact then most visitors would care for. At least educational plaques reassure them they don't hunt living prey.I admit I walked very carefully too and while I suspect he was walking to me more out of curiosity then feeling I'm a carcass ripe to be devoured, I have to say I was... a little unsure. On the other hand, I've got some very nice closeups.
