it is most pleasing the variations in these elements. these are fundamental dichotomies, and they're all in the same image.

diagonal is the position of the bench to the rectangle. the curves in the metal armrests and the foundation support of the bench. straight boards to rest the body.

sharp are the details and yet the snow and ice make these details disappear. the snow's presence makes the sharp appear blurred and out of focus.

the purity of the snow is pleasing as the deep green of the paint, both clean and at opposite ends of the tone range.
