Sort of an art test between Gimp and my new Paint Tool Sai. The green part of the background took so long.
Mokuba and Seto as elves/angels. Seto is a potion master/healer. Though right now it looks like he won't hesitate to murder anyone who looks at Mokuba the wrong way...
Mokuba is just happy to have wings. Look at how excited he is! ^^

oh i thought these were halloween costumes, lol! since i'm doing all my holiday/birthday/special event pics 1 month early, i was thinking about announcing it and having like a special feature where anybody who wanted to draw something for the event could tag our accountΒ and we'd feature them in a special monthly feature thing ( so we raise views for them + they have us mentioned in description to raise views for us too ). to catch all the events next month i'd have to announce it now, but the account isn't up yet and ;A; but i guess ppl could still submit things thru the actual month, just announcing 1 month early gives people time to plan something. would you wanna do something like that? i also thought of maybe having it as a feature + contest ( maybe most creative, or best fits the theme, or something ) but i don't know what the prize would be. i don't have points to give away and not really any time to do a request for someone every single month D; i donno if just "here's the winner" showcased at the top sounds like a good enough prize to win. what do you think about it? D;
anyways obviously of course i love wings :3 i love all the details for seto and how mad he is about all this nonsense lolol
lazy background though, shame shame! i like that it's at least full color and not just empty white but could at least put in some trees there. >u>

I think that sounds like a fine idea! I won't be able to draw anything else this month, and only past October 10th next month (won't have access to my scanner until then.) But I love it! I won't mind if you show one of my pics for your Halloween journal! 
I bet Seto won't be so annoyed once it's time for them to turn into dragons. He'd be like:

i never upload anything i don't have time to finish. i lay it aside to finish later. if it's a "speed drawing" kinda thing i consider that practice, and it if doesn't look presentable i don't post it since it was just done for the experience and not for an audience .u.

It wasn't so much that I didn't have time to finish... more like I didn't know what to add to the bg... 
And well, a friend did request this pic, so it was always going to be uploaded. It may get updated when I get access my digital paint software again.

One thing I learned from someone who used to hate drawing backgrounds (but now draws *amazing* bgs) that you need to stop thinking of the bg as just 'how do I fill in this annoying part to make it interesting' and start thinking of it as a real, lived-in space. I looked around the room I'm staying in for ideas, and my newest project looks great.

Yeah, I remember you saying something like that now that I think of it. Recently I saw a tumblr tutorial on how to draw great backgrounds and it said something similar. I'd find it for you, but this computer doesn't allow me to even access tumblr anymore b/c of a new law that wants to allow companies to stalk me/spy on my activity, and there's no way I'm agreeing to that.

you don't remember me saying that? :c maybe i said it to someone else instead of you :/ ... oh well, this happens to me all the time. :/ people are always repeating back things i've said to them but don't remember i'm the one said it. :/ my dad even started telling me about something he does with his other kids after he left me and mom and i was like "yeah you used to do that with me" and he'd completely forgotten, that was probably the most awkward one of them all. i guess i'm just not a memorable person.

I actually did see that on a tutorial on tumblr. You did say that backgrounds are important, but I don't think you used that phrasing with me. It was probably someone else you said it to.Β

it's just an odd thing that happens to me strangely frequently. like i got someone something once, and then a year later they were telling me about it.... because they thought someone else got it for them. like "one time so-n-so got me this thing..." and i was like "i know about that, i gave you that." it's so weird that this happens so often. :/
but anyway, sorry for making u feel bad
