upd. Hi there! I get a lot of questions everytime when I post a photo with bear Styopa. Yes, he's alive, his not drugged, his not abused, not any cruelty. He was born in zoo and was taken by enthusiasts and professional trainers when his mother abandoned him. Photo sessions with Styopa is strictly regulated, no more than 20-30 minutes, he is treated very carefully and with love. Styopa owners are published posts in instagram and everyone can make sure that his contains in good conditions and his rights are not violated. Photo shooting are needed to pay for the maintenance and food for animals. Styopa 24 y.o he never lived in the wild and release his into the wild nature is impossible.

This particular bear isnt being 'used'. He cannot be released into the wild and his mother abandoned him. He is treated well! I agree with the concern but this bear is living a happy life.
