Rot Root — Description
Many Visitors have mistaken this plant for a Fungi but in fact it is neither plant, nor Fungi, nor edible to mankind. In fact, one could say the Rot root is akin to the men who have mistakenly ingested it. No one has ever seen a Mother Rot Root come into being, but they always spawn in the exact location that a human has perished. Then budding their spores forth to spread quickly across the area within a matter of hours. Though no one has truly lived to tell the tale, rumor has it that eating more than one of these would grant their devourer the ability to communicate with their loved ones back home. Most if not all men who've tried, however, usually explode from the throat in horrid fashion moments after chewing the first plant.
