Animatus Commenticius - Graduation work — Description
And here it is! My final work that I did with my Martiverse for our graduation!!!!

Animatus Commenticius it's a latin name that mean "Living Imaginary"
From the bones of existing animals we created a creature that doesn't exist, but that can trick the viewer into asking himself "What kind of animal is that?" and so, belive in it, even if for just a moment.

Me and Martiverse made this sculpture as a graduation project for the Academy fo Fine Arts in Florence.
Our thesis was about the morfology of the legendary creatures and what originated their exterior look.
The sculpture is all made of real bones that we cleaned from the flesh, whitened with acyd and then assembled all together.
We obviously didn't kill any animal for the porpouse of doing this piece. Some of them where bought at the supermarket and some were roadkills.

It's our precious baby
The first of many to come ahahah
We graduated! We did it! We finally graduated
It was a very difficult road, full of crazy people and general madness. We survived to the burning pain of glueing our fingers togethers multiple times while working on every single piece that we made for our exams.
We spoke of what we liked and finally came to the end of this long road.
And we did it toghether, like we started.

"Animatus Commenticius" it's the title of both the written part and our sculpture, a latin name that mean "Living Imaginary"
Our thesis was about the morfology of the legendary creatures and what originated their exterior look. This was mine and VanyCat graduation project for the Academy fo Fine Arts in Florence.
It was really satisfying to see that both our the professors and friends were really into it while we were exposing the thesis and in the end it was really one of the most beautiful
