History: The Single-Cell Men are creatures developed by the brilliant criminal bioengineer Dr. Zhang Jiankui (see Geneticist) to be his general servants, protection, and sometimes hired out as muscle to other criminals. Their intelligence, if any, is simple, and its level of self-awareness questionable.
Known superhuman powers: The Single-Cell Men are large genetically-modified unicellular organisisms. They are roughly humanoid in shape, but can extend pseudopods from any point in their body, much like an amoeba. These pseudopods can engulf objects their size or similar with incredible speed. Their cell membrane is unusually durable, and even so it can close and heal quickly around small wounds. They are able to see through a series of light-sensitive ocelloid structures situated in roughly the head area of the creature.
Single-Cell Men are not superhumanly strong and rely upon their numbers to overwhelm opponents. If the cell wall of a Single-Cell Man is irreparably ruptured, it will send out a chemical signal causing the other remaining Single-Cell Men to become increasingly aggressive toward the attacker.
