History: History: Chris Cambridge was a sickly teenager, suffering from an extremely rare blood disease. Desperate, her doctors tried a highly experimental nano-technology treatment. The treatment worked better than possibly expected; the nanobots bonded to every cell in her body, not only healing her but also enhancing every one of her body processes.
Chris reveled in the newfound strength. Having lived a lifetime under intensive medical care, Cambridge had a deep sense of having missed out and needing to make up for lost time. She dubbed herself Opensource and began patrolling the area around her university.
She’s developed a close platonic friendship with fellow college student and hero Beacon (See Beacon). During the lead-up to first Aldebaran invasion, the two teamed up with Citizen and a number of other superheroes to form the first roster of the Premiers. Opensource has since been on a number of rosters of the team.
Opensource even moved to LA to join the West Coast chapter, the Hollywood Premiers. She used her technopathic abilities to alter her school records and easily transfer credits to a California school in order to continue her education.
Known superhuman powers: The nanobots bonded to her body have enhanced every biological process to maximum efficiency. Opensource has peak human strength, speed, and agility. Her stamina is greater than that of any normal human. Opensource can heal from injuries and illness much more quickly than a normal human.
Opensource’s cognition is also enhanced, and she can perform complex simulations and carry out several hundred million machine level operations per second in her own head. She is also able to mentally interface with and rewrite the code of any computer or electronic device that she can touch. Her alterations are bound by the physical capabilities of the device.
