Quick Tips for Simple Backgrounds — Description

This may be of no use to people but just in case, I thought I'd throw my 4 big tips for a background. If something looks wrong, its probably cause I've been lazy on one of these haha.
Cause I know colours are people's favourite thing about my backgrounds, here are a few extra points:
When I talk about colour palettes I include those colours in the shadows and lightning. That way, everything matches and works together <3
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not forget that you need contrast in your colours. If you are picking a orange yellow green analogous colour scheme, your light source should be a lighter (e.g. a nice vibrant yellow) and your shadows should be different (e.g. a less saturated and/or darker green). Don't throw them all in as mid tones and wonder why something looks off.
My favourite colour scheme is the analogous scheme. I love combining it with other colour schemes to increase the range of colours I can use in a picture.
If you can't get two colours to work, don't give up. It'll be down to tone and saturation. If you struggle with adjusting those, don't be afraid to look up referances.
I have favourite folders for colours and atmosphere if you are looking for ideas to try out new colour combinations you haven't been able to get to work before. The artists in them are all amazing <3
Also, make your own collections for referance and use them! It can take a bit to get started but it is well worth it.
