Nevermore

A local myth that has been going since the 1800s within the small and secluded town of Sweetfall Cove located near Mendenhall Valley, Alaska. The myth tells of ancient creature that would come at night sweep unsuspecting children who roam by themselves. Local natives near the town told of it being a dark spirit that drag away those who it deemed trespassing its home. While that was seen as simple superstition, people have now reported to police officials of a “large, black creature flying overhead at night”. Officials simply write it off as a simple misidentification of a large bird such as albatross or eagle. However the town has been under a large scale investigation of people especially children of younger age going missing around midnight. The evidence of their disappearance is large, black feathers of unknown species and a mysterious shrunken skull tied to a string is left behind....
