Flat Colored Reference Sheet of my Blue Angel Dragon, Jaeger!

It was suggested to me recently to try a different format for my refs, either a vertical or square. I'd never even considered trying a vertical format, and thought, what the heck, I'll give it a whirl. I honestly really like how it turned out! Really different than the horizontal poster-like format I usually do. I'm unsure if I'll revisit this format for future refs, though this and other layouts are options for commissioners if they'd like. (I did notice, though, that this format looks great for viewing on mobile, lol.)

Yeeee, feels so good to get some personal art done again, especially a ref! I have so many of these I need to make for my OCs, haha. Jaeger is so much fun to work on, too. I really enjoy playing with the jet-like features of his physiology like his nictitating membrane and square snout. He's my boy in blue, based off my Blues~ <3

I considered adding the body shots from his Fursuit Ref at the bottom, but the styles were so different, I whipped up a couple more accurate, realistic anthro shots of 'im. I'm looking forward to working on some scenic, full-background shots of him in the upcoming future.
