HTTYD: Daunting Chase — Description
Urrgh, this took me the longest time--about 3 weeks of working on it on and off and then switching to a new computer so that I could continue coloring this in SAI. I've been trying to improve on my coloring, so you'll probably notice a slight shift in coloring techniques from left to right. XD

I enjoyed this part of the movie immensely. The way the fire interacted with the surrounding clouds, and also how the clouds were affected by the beating of those massive wings...oh...swoon~

I've only watched the movie two times, and didn't take the opportunity to hunt for some reference pictures online for the Burninator, so there's probably a couple of flaws compared to its original design.

I found it too difficult to put on the complicated saddle--Hiccup will have to make it do.

I learned a lot just doing this picture. And my fangirlism isn't tired yet. xD So expect more.

Oh yeah, and if I were chased by a dragon the size of a football field, I'd be as freaked out as Toothless too.
