Caught this on the way home... a post storm peacefulness that hides the uprooted trees, flattened wheat and barley and the naturally trimmed branches hanging off of now shorted out (and unnatural) power lines!
After a memorable introduction to our newest grandchild...
This violent frontal storm raged for about forty-five minutes...
Good thing I had a chainsaw in the pickup tool box...
Had to 'cut' our way home in a couple places... It was kinda fun and memorable...

Life can really flip like that so fast… from something as beautiful as meeting a new grandchild to suddenly being thrown into full survival mode with a chainsaw in hand 😄.
The photo already carries that quiet “after everything” feeling, but your story gives it so much weight. Life really is unpredictable in the strangest ways.

Thank you! Hah! Our first granddaughter! All boys so far 2yr to 7yr olds, her future dates will be to terrified to be anything but respectful 🤣
And just my luck the only two trees down in the area...were on the route home !🤣
