S t o r y

Anjali was born and immediately had to face the consequences of being 'broken'. Soon after his birth, Anjalis mother noticed something was not right with her baby. That was when she found out her son was born 'blind'!
She was very young and the man who got her pregnant had left her soon after their first night. How could she care for a child, even more a child that had special needs!
Her family was already displeased with the whole situation and so she took her baby und put it into a basked. Wrapped in blankets Jali was warm and cozy as she went out into the streets at night.
Anjalis mother made a hard descision. If she could not care for her child, someone else had to do it.
She knew about a place where he would be more then welcome. Not long ago the family that took care of the graveyard lost their baby due to an illness.
With fast steps she arrived at their house and placed the basked on the doorstep. Kissing her little son goodbye she knocked on the door and ran away.

Soon after the door was opened and a man holding a lantern looked into the dark night. Suddenly he heard a rusteling below him and noticed the basked with the little baby.
He looked around but coulden't find anyone, so he took the basked inside where his wife was waiting.
When she saw what he brought with him, her eyes shiney bright. For her this was a blessing from Arceus themself!
So the couple took care of the baby and raised him as their own sun. They didn't care about his blindness and as Jali grew up he learned to live with it!

As he grew older, Jali noticed that his other senses were a lot more developed then others. One that stood out was his sence of smell.
He could smell so many things that others didn't know even had a smell and the moment he first smelled a flower he fell in love.
His mother used grow and sell them and Jali was eager to help her with that. So he often went along with her listening and learning until he could do it alone.
Being blind wasn't making him angsty or helpless at all, he would go where he wanted searching for new flowers to sell, just following their scent.

When done exploring he was always a helping hand to his parents who took care of the local graveyard keeping it clean and tidy.
Anjali was often there to talk to the cold gravestones and place some flowers on long forgotten graves.
Once in a while a visitor would hear him talk to someone who wasn't really there and think of him as a pretty odd person. But Jali dosen't really care about that, he is happy with his life and his parents.
As long as he has them he needs no one else.
