Description Name: Quinton "Rivet" Hale
Age: 17
Gender: M
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 139
Orientation: None really. His heart mostly belongs to his gadgets. HESREALLYBADATTALKINGTOGIRLS
Dorm:

Birthday: November 27th

Skills:
Bullet; Black Inventor: He works with clockwork and creates things. His skill in this craft is unrivaled, even by his father.

Bullet; Black Restlessness: Being an inventor, he's grown used to locking himself in the basement and working until a product was finished. This means he can eat a sandwich and not whine the rest of the night as long as he's working on something.

Bullet; Black Spark of Life: His inventions, like Sparx, begin to grow a kind of mysterious sentience. It's like a spark of life that jumps into his machines. In a way, its sort of magic. Rivet still does not know this. (This does not create more characters. This merely allows things like his glider to fold up without him pushing buttons or pulling levers.)

Bullet; Black Clockworker's Perception: He can hear really well. He needs it otherwise things would just blow up on him. (And I mean like REALLY well. He could hear Yume's watch NOT working from across the room.)

Likes: Dark places, Fire, Metal (both music and meterial), the whirling of gears, insects. He insists that the smell of mercury is relaxing. He LOVES sandwiches.

Dislikes: people barging in his workshop, physical contact, people who tell him his calculations are off, animals (though some he can tolerate such as cats)

Personality: He's definitely two sided. On one side, he's calm collected, and calculating. He's definitely smart enough to solve a puzzle, let alone BUILD a solution to most problems.

The other side is more of his combat side. When he's in combat, his eyes are locked on one target: you. He does not look away, and always looks for some kind of weakness in the enemy. However this side does not come up often seeing as he doesn't normally fight his own fights, but rather builds something to fight it for him.

He's also a bit of a drama queen when it comes to wounds. he does not like bleeding.

History: His parents had always known Quinton was going to be different from the other kids. Quinton grew up in a wealthy family with a mother and a father. He pulled the grades in most of his classes (aside from the magic ones), his parents paid the bills, everything was normal.
Or so his parents grew up thinking that. By the age of 6, he built a clock for a girl down the street he really liked, using his dad's techniques to do it. She rejected him, called him names, and took the clock from him. 2 days later, the clock's spring broke loose, sending the minute hand into the girls throat, choking her slowly and painfully. It was that day that the boy realized his diabolical potential. By the age of 9, his basement was already renovated into a workshop, justifying it by his parents that he needed it to finish projects for school. Everyday, he came home from school and formulated devices and weapons to put down anyone at school, on the streets, or anywhere else that was in his way. He'd entered local science fairs many times but didn't win often, due to questionability of the everyone's safety. But one night he realized that through all of his plans and inventions, he was missing something. Something in his heart felt empty. He realized he was alone.
Since 'Rivet', as he and his peers come to call him, had a distinct hatred of physical contact with others, he decided to build a friend. One that wouldn't die or desert him. As his basis for the machine, he took a common cockroach. He spent a month making sure everything was perfect before his friend was activated. He woke up one morning, to his joy, with a metal cockroach on his face, clicking and imploring him to get out of bed. And thus, the relationship between Rivet and Sparx was born.
Now, his parents wish him luck as he packs his bags in hopes to join the MC academy. Maybe Rivet and Sparx will find powerful allies to aid him in his world conquest. Maybe he'd find new experiments. He only wonders as he opens the doors from his dark basement to the rest of the monochromatic world.

Additional Info:
All of his inventions are clockwork or pyro based, meaning they all move or work by moving gears and cogs. He also has a crude Flamethrower that's bound to errupt any day now. This hasn't stopped him from using it. He doesn't tinker around with electronics, computer hardware, or psychology but he does know a great deal about them.

He hasn't really gotten along with anyone which is why he built his clockwork cockroach, Sparx, who 'speaks' to him through clicks and hissing. Also, this little mechanical bug has a soldering tool, to reach those gear joints that Rivet can't and can reassemble itself if someone were to step on him.

His tail is on the longer side, making it a nice assistant for grabbing tools farther away.

The bigger he builds, the more likely the device is to suffer from "catastrophic meltdown".

He does not have horns and was constantly harassed by this fact in grade school.

He goes by a simple motto, "If I can't build it, it can't be done."

He currently has one medium sized clockwork suit in the planning phase. It's not complete but he says "when the gears start turning it should more than make up for my size". It will be approximately 8 feet in height and will weigh about 666 lbs when it's finished.

The above clockwork suit was refurbished into the Guard golem, H3kt0r. He is 8 feet tall, weighs 800lbs, and is in charge of guarding Rivet's workshop.

He is presumed to have a foot fetish

His mom (Vivian) is colored and his dad (Mordecai) is monochrome. He never really admitted to caring about them very much until he came to MCA. Now he writes to his mother almost every week. He knows he could just e-mail her but it wouldn't be as special.

He hates people pulling off his goggles. He hates people touching his goggles without permission. But if one does pull them off and scratches his scalp where they normally are, He loves it. (He doesn't scratch there often)

( I couldn't have done this without you. Yes, I did draw the picture. Pankaeks gave me lessons on proportions and then I applied that to this drawing today. As of thus far, my best drawing yet. and probably not the last... :'3)
